Webcam Focal Reducer

I wondered if this http://www.scsastro.co.uk/it200010.htm focal reducer is any good for £19.99 from SCSASTRO ?..

Also how many of you have used one before and how do they work please?

Hi James,

Ant and I have used one of those. Almost certainly the same as the Atik jobby sold by Perseu. They work a treat for webcams. No good for visual, film or DSLR.

But the main thing is it will work well with your SC1.5 and is a lot cheaper than a Celestron/Meade.

Thanks Russ, I will order one Monday would be cool to get even wider FOV with the ST102 M31 for example also on the F8 refractor too..

I've got one, and as Russ has said its mostly for photo work, although it will work if you screw it directly into the EP thread (but not if you put it any further down the optical chain, like the diagonal))
