Afocal Mars 240108 3rd Method

On the 24th I mamned to get a couple of hours viewing.

Took a few handheld pics of Mars using the A607 camera.

Had to hold my finger over the flash to stop it blinding me.

This is a pic of Mars taken through the 8" scope with a 6mm ottho and the camera at 3x zoom.

Hand held? extraordinary. It seems to be the thing to do these days. Digi Brackets are going to be sticking on shelves if images like this can be had just holding the camera to the eyepiece. It really is a great effort.

Could you not just switch the flash off Ian.

Unfortunately I can't as my Son broke the button to do this............

I can only take pictures in AUTO mode and that means flash in low light.

The secon edit is a lot cleaner now Ian. The detail is faint, but it is there to see.

You have done very good, and I am astonished at how you do it.
