rebuilding a Meade f6.3 focal reducer

HI everyone

We sometimes, due to necessity have to pull expensive sensitive pieces of equipment to pieces.

I had to recently strip my Meade 6.3 focal reducer as it had a water mark in-between the lenses. During this careful process I lost track of which lenses were front and which were back!

The reducer consists of 4 lenses in 2 groups of 2 bonded lenses. Is there any way of identifying them as front and back, and making sure they are the right way round??

I know this is a lot to ask and I also know I should be more careful (I will be next time)

Looking at my reducer, the flat surfaces of the lenses seem to face outwards.

I'd assume both lens pairs are the same (!?) so they should work either way....
