centroid
Had another go at mars last night, but the time with the SPC900NC web-cam, as opposed to the LPI.Tried it with the x5 Power Mate, but the 'seeing' was really bad, so had to 'drop back' to the x2 Barlow.12" LX200R + x2 Ultima Barlow + SPC900NC web-cam. Around 1300 frames from 1600.Dave
blinky
Good bit of detail there! BTW What causes the fuzzy bit at the side of Mars? Last time I was out I had it as well, I was wondering if my optics were not cooled yet.
centroid
I'm sure it the the reflected glare from the Sun, and probably enhanced by my processing. Dave
Cloudwatcher
I've had that same problem the few time I've been able to View Mars this year. Mars seems very bright this time round and like you I just put it down to glare.CheersCW
markcol
Well done Dave, that is a better result than I managed last night- the seeing was quite disappointing wasn't it!RegardsMark
