Cleaning my IDAS Hutech LP Filter. Steve Method...

With the naff weather of late and to prepare for when, eventually, we do indeed get a clear night, I decided to clean my dirty IDAS LP filter.

So all I did was dunk it into the warm washing up water with fairy liquid in in.  I used my finger tips to gently wash it after letting it soak for a few minutes.  Before so dunking it into the water I used a soft 1" paint brush to get rid of surface dust etc.  I then used toilet paper to dry it off and then a Lakeland window magic cloth to buff it up.

It came up a treat!  Beautiful and clean.  So let's see how it performs when next under the sky, and with luck less dust bunnies.  Hopefully I will not have washed the LP coating off!
