Today was special..... it wasn't raining. Got home and the sky was clear(ish) so quickly grabbed my camera and tripod and rattled off a few frames of the moon, using the 70-300mm lens @ 300mm. Also the first time I've actually managed to get something decent looking out of registax, practice makes perfect etc.

Canon 6D, Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 @ 300mm f/8, 1/1000s, iso 400, 106 frames processed in PIPP then stacked in registax 5, light wavelets applied, run through CS2 to remove a nasty gradient cuased by some light haze in the atmosphere, hi pass layer sharpened.

Thanks for the comments, a big surprise was the sensitivity if the 6d, I dialled in the settings I would have used on the 1100d using the same lens, iso 800, 1/1000s and f/5.6 and the image was blown out, reduced iso to 400 and still blown, so moved to f/8, bonus increase in sharpness at the smaller aperture
