my 1st attempt at the crescent moon with iphone 5 cam

Hi, my 1st post in this room and I know its only the moon but you got to start somewhere .. I managed inbetween showers    to capture the moon from my bedroom window and was quite  impressed what i can see with my new Skywatcher Dobsonian 8" , .. I am new to this hobby and here's my 1st photo's, .. I took these with my Iphone 5 Mobile Phone it takes some moving about to see the moon in the lens but soon as i saw it 'click' and took some   , ... so if you haven't got a camera yet there is some hope if you got a phone.

I hope someone likes my photo's as much as I do, these were taken with Iphone 5 from my Home in Rhymney South Wales on 2nd February 2014 with normal lens and barlow x2 .. and by accident noticed the moon popped out for half hour in all this heavy rain we're having ..so ran upstairs and seen through my bedroom window

my wife got a good Nikon Camera but am waiting for the 'Ring' to come in post to attach it to the telescope .. hopefully have better photo's then

Nice first go there I fore see this being the start of. A few things ,the hit you wallet may take ,and the addiction to take in images ,this is how the dark side starts

Martin if you got an atmospheric shot (the 2nd one) with what you have just think what is in store when you get that SLR in place     Today the moon, tomorrow Jupiter, by the end of the week ??????

Of course your wife may be loosing her camera and her hubbie for many hours but c'eat la vie
