Just broke my Dec motor encoder, going to have to fork out for a replacement motor   won't be cheap

I believe the CG5 uses the us digital  e4 and e4p encoders but it means ordering from the states, after postage etc its probably  cheaper to buy a replacement  celestron motor

I found some robotics motors in the UK with e4P's in them, cost about £44 but not sure what size motor shaft they have

Moral of the story, don't pick at your encoders with a pair of needle nosed pliers!
