billhinge
Just broke my Dec motor encoder, going to have to fork out for a replacement motor won't be cheapI believe the CG5 uses the us digital e4 and e4p encoders but it means ordering from the states, after postage etc its probably cheaper to buy a replacement celestron motorI found some robotics motors in the UK with e4P's in them, cost about £44 but not sure what size motor shaft they haveMoral of the story, don't pick at your encoders with a pair of needle nosed pliers!
