hi everyone,   ive just started out and got a skyhawk 1145p, thinking im gonna see something fantastic, but all i see is the same as using a cheap pair of binoculars , am i doing something wrong or have i wasted £300

What have you been looking at so far and what did you expect to see? Don't expect to see down the eye piece what you see in the astrophotography images.

I haven't used the 1145p but I would thought the views would be improved over a pair of binoculars, having said that it depends on what the binoculars are!

Remember that sky conditions vary night to night and this has a huge impact on what you see.
