Diagonals

Could anybody please advise me regarding updating my celestron 127 standard diagonal. I have upgraded my eye pieces (bsts) but is it worth a better diagonal and also which one. Thanks

I replaced my C8 stock diagonal with a Teleview dielectric 1.25" unit. I can't say that I noticed a great deal of improvement but a least I know that it is good quality and that I remain the "weak link in the chain".

The stock Celestron prism is actually fairly good - the only reason I upgraded was so I could use 2" EPs so the answer really is why do you want to upgrade? Visually there will not be a huge gain on that OTA

Thanks for the advise. But I am still confused (I am a beginner) as I thought that the standard eypieces are poor quality (but the diagonal is ok I )thought upgrading all standard equipment would make a difference Even though it's only a 127 Am I wasting my money upgrading my diagonal

Upgrading the stock eyepieces will make more difference to the views than upgrading the stock diagonal.
