Explorer or sky hawk?

Can anyone help me with the attached, is it an. Explorer 130 or a skyhawk 1145p?

The black sticker underneath the focuser will tell you the aperture (D=?) and focal length (F=?) of the telescope. From this you should be able to tell which model it is - compare the spec to scopes online.

Hi thanks, I can't focus on the label. It's a picture that's been sent to me. Is there any other way of working it out?

I think it's the skyhawk. I've been offered it at a very low price but the reviews of it aren't great. If anyone can confirm which one it is I will be uber grateful!

Oh, ok. Can you not get the seller to confirm the aperture and focal length?

From the picture I think it is probably the Skyhawk. If it has a focal length of 500mm then it should be ok, but if it is 1000mm then you might want to stay clear as it uses a magnifying element built into the focuser drawtube - I think this is the model that gives the Skyhawk a mixed reputation.

I'm trying to be a detective and compare pics.. The label seems to have 4 lines of text, but all the pics I can find of the 1145 has 3.

The plot thickens.

So staying clear of it.
