Baader Neodymium Filter V's Cheap Copy

So, having decided I wish to acquire a Baader Neodymium Filter, but cant unless one comes up 2nd hand, I've been looking at this cheap copy on ebay:

Do you think this copy would perform ok? It doesnt mention anything in the description about advanced 'phantom' coatings or mutli coatings on both sides like the Baader one, but still do you think it would do the job ok? 

 

Any opinions would be welcome and appreciated, as always.

Hi Vic, it is not the same really, it is just a cheap LPR filter masquerading as something better, at the end of the day you get what you pay for, though I do think some of the Baader items are rather over-priced.

I will save my money then and put it towards a 2nd hand Baader if and when one comes up.

Hi Vic, sorry to disappoint you and all that, better to tell what I really think.  I have had much experience of trying out filters and there are a lot of pretenders out there.  They sometimes come up second hand, try UK Astronomy Buy and Sale here: http://www.astrobuysell.com/uk/index.php

No, absolutely. I'd much rather hear the truth from experienced users than spend and possibly waste my hard won cash on ineffective imitations. Thats why I ask before buying, I really appreciate your advice and expertise!

I've been checking astrobuysell daily (and will continue to) until one comes up.
