focus trouble

Hi folks

I'm having trouble getting anything in sharp focus except the moon. This applies to both my reflectors. I had trouble getting Jupiter in focus the other week using my refractor but that may have been due to the seeing and the fact that focuser is not very good. I need glasses to read and indeed see anything inside two feet. Does this mean that I should use my reading glasses at the eyepeice. I ask because it is very difficult to get close into high mag eyepeices with them on. Or do I need ascertain type of eyepeice for my poor old eyes. My eypeices are listed below.

Depends on the type of glasses (eg astigmatism etc). Experiment with and without to see which works best.  

Personally, I find it's best to focus on a faint star rather than something less defined like Jupiter.

Also, quality of eyepiece will make a big difference.

I use the Explore Scientific's, and have good luck with them.

Seeing conditions will also affect focus, especially in the higher magnifications.
