Hey up everyone. I'm a NEW Mac user and I don't have a blumming clue how things work on this OSx platform. So my questions are these. Can anyone help me with regards to capture software (free or not) and ASCOM platform or equivalent?

I'm only interested in capture and guiding to this machine. I've an Atik 428ex and a QHY5 II. I'm on the understanding that PHD will work with Mac, is this correct?

Hi

Nebulosity works under OSx for image capture and processing.

ASCOM is windows only - INDI is the UNIX equivalent but support is not as broad as ASCOM.

EQUINOX Pro can support some mounts and cameras.

There is not as much freeware on the Mac but the paid apps get the job done.

You can run DSS under wine but it'll be slow or you can always resort to a windows VM.
