vignette and optical alignment

I saw somewhere in a video that the vignette can show misalignment  of the secondary in the optical path so i mucked about with an image in PixInsight

is this a legitimate way of aligning the optical path? and if so, is there a 'relatively' simple way of doing it in real time?
