Maxim DL screen stretch

Hi all, i am new to Maxim dl, like most software, i guess it takes a little getting used to.

I am using a QHY5 to guide with in maxim dl, when i take a sub for calibration and guiding they are very noisy and although i can improve it with the screen stretch, it does not keep the setting and each subsequent capture has loads of noise in it.

can i adjust it so that each capture is clear?

If i use PHD i get a nice clear exposure, without the noise, i don't have to adjust the image!

If you hit the button with the >> symbol on the screen stretch control you can set the stretch used by each of the Low, Medium & High presets.

How the screen image looks has absolutely no impact on the guiding. The guide correction is calculated before the image is stretched for screen display.
