A Very Simple Capture of NGC 2239 in Ha

Hi,

The other night I set up to image M45 in RGB, disater, and NGC 2239 in Bi colour. It soon became a cat and mouse game trying to find 5 minutes between the fast moving low clouds, I managed 7 X Ha and 3 X Oiii, the Oiii data is weak and hopeless. I really needed 7 X 900s to make it stand out. This image is just a straight stretch in StarTools, 7 x 300s in 7Nm Ha with WO ZS 71 @ F4.7, Atik 314L+.

Regards,

A.G

Excellent stuff - a pity about the clouds but you've still got a decent result. I did this one on Tuesday night and was able to give it 5 hours at f3.4 Are you going to try for more data?

Dave

Good Morning Dave,

I would love to give it more data, but I have just got home from work, it is exactly 1 am, the sky is clear , the Moon is nearby  and I am knackered,  I wish I had the strength to set it up, maybe another day. I saw your capture and I must congratulate you, it is awsome. How do you cope with star bloating with Oiii filter BTW, I seem to have a hell of a time with the Oiii.

Regards,

A.G
