Thought that perhaps I should do something about moisture in my SCT after bringing my equipment in after a rather cold session the other week.

Looking on-line the cheapest machined aluminium holder I could find was this one from Billetparts. So I thought I would have a go at making one from old bits laying around at home.

This is what I cobbled together at work today in my lunch break - honest!  :angel12:

An old 35 mm film container and a pot that used to hold mixed nuts that came in our Christmas hamper from the company last year.

Just drilled a hole in the bottom of the nut pot and then reamed it out so that the film canister was a good resistance fit. A bead of silicone around the join and it's good to go. The silicone is a good high grab type (Elastosil E41) that we use at work to seal waterproof radio transceivers used by Search and Rescue units, so it isn't going to peel off.
