I need a screw

I need some screws to attach my guide scope rings to some universal adapters which clamp onto a dovetail. I need them to be M6 thread, 25mm long in total, and need the head to be no more than 5mm deep and less than 10mm wide.

Any suggestions?

Dome head Allen screws might do - they are the lowest profile head that I know of (oterh than countersunk) - readily available on ebay.

The heads of screws tend to be twice the diameter of the thread, so an M6 will have as 12-13mm diameter head. I'd have to go to a copy of Machinery's to prove this but it has been a working rule of thumb of mine for years.

M6 panheads could have the diameter turned off to suit.

Thanks gina, just found some on ebay with better dimensions listed than on the screwfix website; i've ordered a few options, for £1.99 with free p&p

Thanks mike. These M6 ones suggest the head is 10.5mm in diameter; i'm just hoping that is small enough to fit in the counter sunk hole. If not, i've got a file somewhere!!!
