M1 - Using EQ8 and 8" RC

This is my first go with the EQ8 and my re-collimated RC (I think the collimation is now very close to the optimal). I'm using EQMOD and PHD for guiding and this proved to be problem free. This is a brief test of the whole system.

8" RC working at F5.6 , Atik 460EX ,  Ha  5X 8mins , OIII 5 X 8mins , synthesised green channel

This is a good first light, John - good star shapes so the tracking and collimation seem good - typical RC bright stars.

Looks good John! Round stars and great detail in the structure of the nebula. 

Just out of curiosity, how accurate is the EQ8 without guiding? Above that of the EQ6 i would presume?

I did a quick test and managed a 3min exp without guiding. I need to do an accurate polar alignment.
