Interesting stuff, isn't it? When I started out in astronomy in about 1977, I would never have imagined us being able to detect such small planets circling distant stars. We live in amazing times.

Absolutely astounding. I never dreamed this sort detection would be possible. Even when they announced the first Exo Planet discovery,

I was convinced it was fake. However, the capability is with us, and now I can't wait for the James Webb telescope to get into orbit, and  commissioned..

2018 seems a long way off to me though  .
