Logitech webcam - any good for planetary imaging/video

Just got hold of a unmoddified Logi 4000, will use it mainly as a guider, but managed to view frames in PHD of the Moon on my C9.25 and looked really cool.

Was way better than I expected.

Just wondering...what s/w should I use to image/video planets.

Keen to get a few of the Moon,Mars+Saturn.
