Stellarium iphone app...

Has anyone used this? And does it work without being connected to the internet?

I have it on my Ipad as well as a mobile version on my Nokia phone for use when I am away from my house. It works as normal without internet and the only things that are missing from the desktop version are the plug ins (like telescope view). I don't really miss this as I use it for a quick reference outside rather than planning a session. It is well worth the small price in my opinion.

There is a big "gotcha" with Stellarium that caught me out early on.  If you touch the "search" button, the search screen pops up but it's white! (Or at least it is on my iphone)  So you can be doing so well with your night vision, using Stellarium in "night mode" then BLAM, white search screen comes up and there goes your night vision!  I try to do any searches on it before I go outside.

I just hope the iPhone version is better than the lamentable Android version which I have.
