What a let down

I missed the best recent night (Saturday) as it was not looking good early on and I only realised later that it was one of the clearest nights we have had for weeks. I did have a quick scan around with the bins. and have never seen M31 looking so bright.

After that experience I set up ready for to-night and having had a good look at the double cluster and Almach I decided to go for some of the open clusters in Cassiopeia. Was just getting lined up to find M52 and thought that's strange there should be more stars in the FOV, took me a minute to realise I was quickly being clouded out.

Oh well a short session is better than none at all I suppose.
