Mars - first 'detail' shot!

thanks to the primers on this forum I now have my first planetary image with some detail (possibly a little overdone in registax as quite speckley!!)

Been using envisage for the lpi and never really got anything better than an over exposed white dot or grey blob with lack of definition. Switched to K3CCD as per the imaging primer and did the registax stuff and came up with this image below. The cloud was fast and quite low but was very thin and my lens misted up in about 10mins! (hopeing my dew sheild arrives soon )

Really looking forward to some clear nights to practice these new found skills ....

Also .. can k3ccd be used for deep space with an lpi ? I guess I need a lot of frames at short exposure for DSO's?
