I tried out my full spectrum camera (Fuji IS Pro) with a lens again. Probably for the last time - I had forgotten how badly lens based systems focus UV thru IR!!! The result is bloated stars mainly from the out of focus UV & IR wavelengths (this does not happen with a mirror based systems.....).

Anyway- a stack of 4 x 300s subs @ ISO1000 of the Cepheus/IC1396 area with 80mm Nikon ED lens.

Even with bloat it's a very nice image, The Garnet Star is very good. :icon_salut:

Still a very lovely shot, nicely framed and great colour - a dazzling array of stars and so much going on!
