I'm assuming the 10" Quattro is shorter than the 250P?

Yes

The Quattro's faster f-ratio results in a shorter tube length. This isn't always the case with imaging Newtonians (some competitor's build their f4 mirror-set into their f5 telescope's tube).

Seems ideal as a big aperture reflector to mount on a giro mount.

For visual, I think a large aperture Newtonian telescope works best as a Dobsonian.
