Sensor cleaning

I have just finished modifying my MS lifecam cinema but while doing it, I managed to touch the sensor and get a finger print on there.

I have got a lens cleaner kit for my SLR, would the cleaning fluid but ok to use if I sprayed some onto a cotton bud and clean the lens?

Should be OK. Use a medical grade swab so that nothing gets left on the sensor and remember that the fluid may leave a residue so clean it off with a clean swab as soon as you can...
