Astrodon NB filters 5nm or 3nm for "fast" astrograph

After years of imaging with a DSLR, it is time for me to begin imaging with monocrome camera and filters. My system is a fast newtonian astrograph f3,3 with ASA corrector, FLI ML8300.

I was wondering if it is possible to image with fast astrograph (even f/2,7) with astrodon 3nm Ha O3, etc or should I go for a wider 5nm filter

The limit of my knowledge for fast filters is ensuring the light cone works with the filter! (Not probably the most helpful reply!)
