NGC457 Owl (E.T.) Cluster

Hi All

After seeing the post from Anthony the other day http://stargazerslou...68-owl-cluster/ I realised that although this is one of my favourite clusters, I have never imaged it! I think I have concentrated on the 'pretty' galaxies and nebulae and completely forgotten the lovely clusters.

So last night (seeing not great but clear) I had a try.

1hr of 180s subs plus darks and bias. Guided with PHD on 150P with EOS30D

Hope you like and as ever, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Jamie

with star clusters they tend to benefit from shorter exposure so you dont over saturated the stars and get blown out you will also get more colour.

A very valid point and sadly I completely forgot to change the remote settings from the previous imaging setting.

Left it for an hour or so only to find it was 3min subs. Ah well, always something I forget to do!

Cheers

Jamie
