Toucam II Pro 840K win7 Driver

I upgraded my laptop from XP to Win7 and am trying to find a Win7 driver for the Toucam. I did check out Cloudy Nights and a Mike Rapp had a suggestion which I tried and got almost to the finish line. Problem is, when I load the drivers, instead of putting the camera driver in Imaging Devices, it puts it in the Sound, Video, Driver section of Device Drivers. I can't view the camera even though the driver did appear. Has anyone succesfully got the oldie Toucam to run on Win7?

what model of toucam is it, you can get drivers for spc900 on win 7

I managed to get my 840K working on Win7 by installing the spc900 driver (which is available from the Philips website) and them making a couple of minor 'tweaks' to a couple of config files. There's another thread here in SGL which already covers this ... .try searching for 840K and you should be able to find it... (I'll do some digging too...)
