Astronomy is just a hobby, the stars and planets are not going to go away, i have no choice but to drive out to a dark site if i want to look at any thing other than the Moon, i have a large Maksutov that does not get used very often due to the weight and cooldown, but its such a joy to use it when all things click into place. Hope you stay with it but ultimately thats your decision
