1.25" vs 2" eyepieces

I could be wrong, but I thought the ES 18mm was even more similar to the Meade equivalent and that is 1.25".

Obviously, if the inside diameter won't physically fit into a 1.25" barrel then you're going to have to put it in a 2" barrel or we'd have no standard sizes. Does that make it a 2" EP?

You're down to semantics then and so it really doesn't matter. I don't need to disagree, because I'm not that bothered.

I'd have to buy another 2" adapter if my 18mm EP didn't come with a 2" barrel and it's a rather fine EP, so I'm very happy.
