Summer triangle

1100d+18-55 kit lens at 18mm, 3x5min subs, no darks or flats. Just a rough alignment with the Polarie with no polarscope. Not much red showing, even with 5 min exposures - must get the mod done. There's a lot wrong with this, more care required, but I think I'm very slowly moving in the right direction.

I used Noel's tools to add spikes to make Vega, Deneb and Altair stand out - apologies to the imaging purists!

Thanks guys, glad you like it. It was good to get to a fairly dark sky site for a change, just annoying that I only got 3 x 5 minute subs before the clouds rolled in. Also, with 5 min subs I thought I would have picked up more red nebulosity. Maybe I'm missing something in the processing or need to get the mod done.

Nice image. I do all my observing with a newt so diffraction spikes always make me feel at home
