SDSO worth a look

I recently had the opportunity to visit SDSO whilst in Scotland for work. Having seen the site as a bare hillside a year or so ago, what they have achieved in a short time is very impressive.

The 20" Dall-Kirkham under the dome looks a mighty fine piece of kit, and the 14" SCT under the roll-off makes my 8SE look like a wee toy. Great space for talks and so on, all housed in a lovely building. Shame I didn't get the chance to get up there at night, but I'll def try a get back for a proper look and maybe some time with the scopes later in the year. Its a little off the beaten track, but well worth a visit.
