I need some help with phd guide setup. I am using a philps spc900 nc web cam but can anyone give me some setting tips as to camera mode and advanced setting or camera dialog boxes as I can never set it to see what the camera is seeing. Thanks in advance.

i don´t have the spc900 but as general rule of thumb:

gain setting ~90-100%

and the exposure 2-4 sec

don´t forget to make darks! (will lower the noise)

oh yes nearly forgot:

try to get in focus as good as possible -> or all above things won´t help you to find a guidestar!
