Canon camera mod

Hi all,

Just a quick question as i am new to all of this but when reading several posts i keep seeing that people have modded their cameras. My question is just what is this mod and how do you get it done. The reason i ask is that i am looking into getting a s/h 1000d as they are going quite cheap at the mo.

cameras manufacturers install filters in the camera to cut out certain light frequencies at the red end of the spectrum unfortunately these frequencies include those emitted by dso images.A modded camera will have these filters either removed or replaced, which is best? That depends on the model of camera and if you use it for ordinary daytime use.Visit astronomiser website for more detailed info
