C11 solar filter

I know specialist solar telescopes are best for solar viewing but curious to know if it's worth getting a solar filter for my C11. Is the view a good one?

An off-centre filter with Baader film should give good views. I do not know whether a full aperture would make any sense. My feeling is I get as much detail out of my 80mm with Herschel wedge, as with the C8 with full aperture filter.

Not that familiar with your particular scope, but you could make you own white light solar filter with some £20 Baader AstroSolar filter film (ND5.0 version).

I've just made one, but haven't had the chance to use it yet!

I agree with Michael. I have a full aperture solar filter for my C11, and I do not think seeing conditions during the daytime have ever allowed me to tease out more detail on the solar disc over my 4" scopes.
