Nebula emission type

I know that various Nebula emit light depending on what the ionised gas type is (eg O-III) but where do you find out what emits what? Does anyone have any online references I can make a use of.

I am going to a dark site tomorrow weather being up to it, and I have in mind to get the Owl Nebula (believe this benefits from O-III) and also triffid and lagoon later on.

TIA folks

Maybe I should have been more specific and asked about emission nebula. From what I gather (happy to be corrected btw) the majority of nebula (emission) are hydrogen type. But does anyone know of a reference site or similar where I can find out more information....

tia again, steve
