Help with choice of refractor please

yes. again i wasnt thinking of doing both at the same time. seeing something i like then stepping back and photoing it was the plan. i do normally have a second scope kicking around to view from while im waiting for imaging.

Ahhh right got ya :)

I have a meg72 on top of my 115EDT and either can be used for imaging or guiding. I also have a finder/guider on the big scope which is great for guiding - that's probably the kind of thing you had in mind I think. I can also swop the meg for an ST80 if not used for guiding and is lighter. I reckon either of those configs might suit you. Or you could achieve the same with a ZS66 or any small achro or doublet around 70/80mm.
