Bit of a coincidence

Recommended Posts

Whilst observing last Monday I was hunting down a galaxy in Leo when two satellites crossed in the 0.89 deg FOV of the 22T4. Single satellites crossing the FOV is common enough, but two simultaneously, and crossing neatly near the centre is quite a bit rarer. I made a mental note of the event, and when hunting in Coma a bit later, the same thing happened: Two satellites crossing paths right near the centre of the FOV (17T4 at that time, 0.636 deg FOV). Quite a coincidence (and of course, space is crawling with satellites).
