Saturn a- focal , hand held .

Hi , here is one of a few shots I got last saturday night 27th april .

These were taken using my Takahashi Mewlon 210 and TV 3mm Radian giving 806x .

Camera used was my HTC one smart phones camera .

Mount Ioptron IEQ45 .

The views thru the eyepiece were spectacular ! the image scale was huge , the seeing , scope and mount could have gone higher but I was max'd out eyepiece wise without reverting to a barlow .

I have never seen Saturn this good , a little maths tells me this is what saturn would look like at 12 million km's , minus the atmospheric distortions of course .

These shots are raw , straight out of the 3mm Radian into the phone then the computer , have not been touvhed .

I love the colours seen here , shows the 'peach' of the planet and the 'pink' of the rings well I think ?

Takahashi brilliance at its best .

oops posted a bad on #186 , here is #187 instead , much better . I was trying my best to hold the phone steady and keep it in the tiny field of view at 806x .
