What IMG132E and 80ED can do...lunar shots!!

Hola,

Pretty nice atmospheric conditions last night. My attempts to capture daytime lunar images failed due to...of course...clouds. But I had to settle with normal shots later in the night.

Moon: 8-day old, 62.3%.

Camera: QHY IMG132E (I'm loving this camera...sharp and crisp and highly versatile)

Scope: SW Evostar 80ED (First time to try it on the moon...it exceeded my expectations considering its limited aperture. Even at high mag the images were sharp and crisp)

Stacked in Rigstax and minimally processed in PS.

Enjoy!! :)

Better after the processing, but cracking shots anyway!

I guess they require more processing..but cant be bothered :) It was just an experiment to see what the 80ED with its limited aperture can do lunar-ly :)

By the way, the greenish hue in the unprocessed ones is due to the IR filter.

With the right settings it can beat planetary cameras twice the price. It's a great cam...loving it.

I tried both...more than happy with mine. IHaving looked around for reviews on this camera, it seems it doesnt get fair publicity...probably because the company is new on the market. But oh boy...these QHY cameras are more than capable....
