Using a PDA for astro imaging

Recommended Posts

James has used his PDA for astro imaging and I have used my Nokia Mobile. I can see no reason why you couldn't use it for astro imaging.

The best target is the Moon. You can get some interesting results. I would start with a low power eyepiece to get a widefield view of the Moon. This should give you an indcation of what the camera is capable of.

Yep you can use it matey just line up your PDA's camera over the Eyepiece and snap away if you have camera setting these are normally contrast and brightness on PDA's, lower your brightness and contrast with the Moon and also as Ian suggest use a low power eyepiece.

PS: Try and get 2sky for your PDA it's a great Astro Programme like a cut down version of Starry Night Backyard.
