rowan46
Got to agree with many of the suggestions here, two pairs of socks I thin normal pair with one thick pair into boots which do not feel tight when eveything is done up. For astronomy fishing gear is functionally better than outdoor gear as it's designed for the same parameters ie keeping warm and dry whilst standing around rather than trying to minimise moisture whilst exercising
Patrice Lanteigne
I've been wearing these for 3 decades sometimes in extreme arctic conditions. Never did get cold feet. Now that we live in slightly warmer climes I wear them for winter observing. They will keep your feet warm when standing still for extended periods. Remember to keep hydrated and eat carbohydrates.http://www.actoncanada.ca/en/product/a4440-13#a4440-13They can be had cheaper at army surplus stores.US armed forces "Mickey Mouse" boots are also said to be very warm, I can't testify to that as I've never owned any.http://www.amazon.com/Black-Mickey-Mouse-Boots-valve/dp/B000JVZTKG
