watersblue
On holiday here at the moment. Can't believe how low Polaris is, plus the angle/height of Orion compared with the UK.
motorcycle jack
Don't know where you are but if near Gainesville, the Cheifland Observers are having a picnic and event on April 6th. Google it for information.

DirkSteele
The relative position of the stars when we travel to other parts of the world really does bring home that fact that we live on a small sphere flying through space. The real mind bender comes though, when you travel south of the equator (or North for our South living friends) and everything is not the way round you expect! watersblue
Chiefland is 140 miles away. We are travelling home on the 6th anyway, but that was interesting reading about the Chiefland Observers. Dirk, I imagine seeing the Sun move from right to left is also a bit odd! Ron, that's some freakish weather we are having at home. Not the cloudy bit; that's the norm!
