Cheap eBay upgrade Heritage 76 - 2x Barlow or 5mm eyepiece?

Hi

What should i go for 2x Barlow or 5 mm eyepiece to bump up magnification of my cheap heritage 76? And i am speaking about cheap eBay items.

Get the Barlow, there easier to make at a higher standard, to a low budget. Then if you have a 10mm EP Barlow it then there's your 5mm

I know that all these barlows are low quality barlows but have someone maybe one of these and can recomend it? Or are they all equally good or bad!?

Hi, in my opinion, none of them are very good, Seben for starters is a really poor quality make and only their plaguerised ep's have shown any sign of being vaguely useful. I have not heard of the Compact Barlow, screwed into the ep by the look of it, an interesting concept but you will not be able to use filters with it. My advice would be to save a bit of money and get a decent Barlow.

This is the one occasionally bundled with skywatcher scopes. It's not half bad to be honest.

One thing Seben do seem to do well is their zoom eyepiece. Not sure how much you'd want to spend but have a look at it.

This is apparently a clone of the Meade one which is quite a bit more expensive. Other people have stated that this product is quite a stand out fo Seben, which dont have the best reputation around here.
