Canon 194mm & Asahi 50mm wide Orion

Just testing how effective these 2 lenses would be on Orion.

The Asahi F2 50mm is very good at keeping focus due to it's build where as the Canon 55-250mm IS is a little loose, once you get focus it's fine but it is very twitchy zeroing it in, i was actually aiming at 200mm with the canon but got fed up trying to find it in the dark so settled for a near as.

Asahi SMC Pentax M 1:2 50mm 30 subs Iso 800 @ 30 sec exp, 10 darks, 20 flats :

Canon 55-250mm @ 194mm f5.6 40 subs Iso 80 @ 30 secs exp, 10 darks, 20 flats:

Early days doing this but i will be having another crack using the Super Takumar 1:1.8 55mm i got today, hope you like them anyway.

Not bad. Quite a bit of details in there, and some nice colors too.

I have to agree, the 55-250 isn't the easiest lense to deal with. Was struggeling with mine as well. Couldn't even take flats with mine because by the time i was ready to take them, either the focus or the focal lenght had changed, lol.
