Positioning a Telrad?

Glad I haven't yet fixed it to my new dob200-nearly put it back to front

! What are the pros & cons of where you fix it on the tube - i.e. top end or bottom?

Before you stick the base down with the supplied sticky pad put it on temporarily using masking tape or cable ties. Move it about until you find what works for you, then fix permanently.

I find mine sits well to the right of my 9x50 finder at the top of the OTA

You would have to lay on the floor to see through it if you were to put it on the bottom

I have mine set back a little between the focuser and the finder. Still attached with cable ties and some masking tape though as it works fine and will be easy to take off should I need to.

I agree with above mines fitted next to my finder it was with cable ties until i was happy with position.
