Just a single exposure with the a Pentax K10D through a CPC9.25 with a 6.3 reducer.

Absolutely no idea what i'm doing but it looked ok.

Nice shot, what ISO and exposer time did you use?

Thanks, I think it was ISO 400 and the shortest exposure time. I'm no photographer, it's my wifes Pentax.

One feature that this particular Pentax doesn't have is Live View, without that I find focusing becomes tiresome.

Hence this works as a thumbnail, I like the colour hue, but is soft when looked at closely.

I hope you dont mind, i had a look at you pic in photoshop, adjusted the Brightness and Contrast a bit,

There's some nice surface detail there

Haha......thanks very much, definite improvement, I think I'll print and frame that.

We're selling the DSLR for a new compact Sony Cybershot RX-100, good camera but not for astro, so I'll not be doing anymore I don't think.

Unless I have a windfall of a few thousand £££££......even then, I doubt I could devote the required time to do it to a decent level.
